Wisconsin Badgers football head coach Luke Fickell has announced the addition of running backs coach Jayden Everett to his staff on Thursday. A college football veteran, Everett has spent time coaching at nine different schools before coming to the Badgers.
“Jayden is a great addition to our offensive staff and we’re excited to bring him to Madison,” Fickell said in a press release. “He has experience at a lot of places and has worked with a lot of great talent along the way. His connections and track record will be a big asset in recruiting and building a terrific running backs room. Jayden is a great person that will bring tremendous energy and passion to our program.”
Everett comes to Wisconsin after serving as the running backs coach at Minnesota during the 2025 season, helping the Gopher backs rush for 1,468 yards on 323 carries with nine touchdowns. Everett spent the 2024 season helping coach running backs at Michigan, working with the tandem of Kalel Mullings and Donovan Edwards. The Wolverines averaged 157.2 rushing yards per game as Mullings and Edwards combined for 1,537 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns that season.
“I’m excited to join the Badgers staff,” Everett said. “When this opportunity came, I knew it was one I couldn’t pass up. Wisconsin is one of the true RBU schools in the Big Ten and I’m looking forward to building on that rich tradition here. This program is known for running the ball and featuring talented backs and I’m grateful for the opportunity and excited to work with Coach Fickell and Coach Grimes to build this offense.”
Originally from Netwon, Kansas, Everett earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Indiana State in 2009.
