The University of Wisconsin men’s basketball team jumped seven spots in the latest Associated Press men’s college basketball rankings to No. 6, their highest ranking for the program since Dec. 28, 2020.

Wisconsin rose seven spots after defeating Minnesota, 61-59, on Tuesday night and a convincing 81-66 win over Michigan State at the Kohl Center on Friday night. Including a 70-57 win in East Lansing earlier this season, Wisconsin completed its first home-and-away season sweep of Michigan State since the 2003-04 season.

The Badgers will travel to Nebraska on Thursday night to play the Cornhuskers before hosting No. 2 Purdue at noon on Sunday at the Kohl Center.
