You can’t organize Black folks if you don’t love Black Folks – Angela Lang

It’s been said that Milwaukee, WI has the superpower to potentially decide the next President of the United States. We are in an election where every vote counts and one where the Black vote is essential.  This week we are resharing The BONUS EPISODE OF Black Oxygen featuring Angela Lang.

Born and raised in Milwaukee, Angela Lang, the Executive Director of  BLOC (Black Leaders Organizing for Communities), is currently feeling the pressure of this upcoming election. In this episode of Black Oxygen Angela discusses the meaning of democracy, what’s actually on the ballot in November, and how centering joy and loving oneself is an act of resistance. I hope you enjoy (or re-enjoy) this conversation as much as I did.

…. Also, this is a BIG week for the 365 Media family.  The Wisconsin Leadership Summit starts TODAY, Monday, October 5, and is going on all week. And it’s all online! 25 panels, including the Black Oxygen panel I’m moderating on Friday! I’ll be talking to Opal Tomashevska, Everett Mitchell, Ranell Washington, and Angela Lang.  I hope that you can join the conversation. Thanks, and enjoy.
