Blacks for Political and Social Action of Dane County (BPSADC) will host a town hall forum for Democratic candidates running for Wisconsin governor on Tuesday, July 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Black Business Hub, 2352 S. Park St. in Madison.
Billed as the “Voices of Wisconsin Town Hall,” the event will give community members a chance to hear directly from the candidates about their perspectives, priorities and vision on issues affecting communities across the state. Organizers say all Democratic gubernatorial candidates have confirmed their participation.
The forum is co-sponsored by Wisconsin Black Democrats, 100 Black Men of Madison Inc., JFMJ Academy Inc., the African American Council of Churches, Urban Triage, the Gamma Gamma Gamma Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., the Theta Xi Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Inc., and the Urban League of Greater Madison Inc.
The event comes ahead of the partisan primary on Tuesday, Aug. 11. Residents can register to vote and find their polling place at myvote.wi.gov.
