The City of Madison has expanded its warning of flood danger to encompass an additional 1,200 homes at risk of a flash flood if rains become intense again.

City staff will distribute flyers to these homes on Monday.

The new homes added to this potential flash flood impact area are near storm drains that empty into the lake, according to a release from the City of Madison’s Streets Division. These new homes are a concern for flash flooding if there is an intense rainstorm.
