Coming Wednesday! Si Se Puede: Wisconsin’s 49 Most Powerful Latinos

0

Madison Poet Laureate Oscar Mirales recently published an anthology titled I Didn’t Know There Were Latinos in Wisconsin. Well, there are, and they make significant contributions to every sector of life in the state: education, government, business, finance, social services.

We asked around and collected a list of names and very impressive resumes. Over a week starting on Wednesday, January 20, we’ll profile many very impressive people whom you really should know. We’ll highlight a few names you probably know, and we’ll introduce you to quite a few others. You’ll get to know immigrants finding success here, second- and third-generation Latinos, entrepreneurs in business, entrepreneurs in community service, risk-takers and community-changers.

The geographical reach of the list is impressive, too, covering most of the state from Racine to Madison to the Fox Valley.

Enjoy your weekend and your Martin Luther King, Jr Day activities, and then watch Wednesday for our list of the most powerful Latinos in Wisconsin.
