Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS) Deputy Secretary Donna Moreland was honored with the 2024 Rotary Club of Madison Avenues of Service Award for Vocational Service on May 8 for her contributions to the Club since she became a member in 2008.

“Service and living a life of service are important to me,” Moreland said in a statement. “Yes, service to the State of Wisconsin through my work at DSPS, but also to my community and the people who live there.”

Moreland has been active on several committees serving leadership roles, according to the Rotary Club of Madison, including the Community Projects, Youth Awards, Scholarship, and Ethics Symposium Committees. In 2017-2018, she served as the Rotary of Madison Club president.

With this recognition, Moreland received a special certificate and a pin, and the Rotary Club of Madison also made a $200 gift in her name to The International Rotary Foundation.
