A new business networking organization for women entrepreneurs is preparing to officially launch in Madison today, with organizers already reporting early business growth among its founding members.
The Madison Chapter of eWomenNetwork will officially launch at the Madison Club in downtown Madison today, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., under the leadership of managing director Masha Pavlova. The chapter is part of the international eWomenNetwork, a business community focused on helping women entrepreneurs start, grow and scale their businesses.
“We want to do something exceptional in Madison by breaking down the silos that can leave women working alone — within their industries, communities and leadership spaces,” Pavlova tells Madison365. “Our goal is to bring women together to support each other, break through barriers and build extraordinary businesses. And while the goal is to help one million women reach $1 million in annual revenue, it’s not really about the money.
“Money is a tool for us, but it is really about what we can build, how we can give back to the community, stimulate the economy and become more self-sufficient, especially with everything happening on the national and global stages,” she adds. “It’s about coming together as a community and supporting one another as we grow.”
The international eWomenNetwork’s stated mission is to help one million women entrepreneurs each reach $1 million in annual revenue through community, coaching, mentorship, visibility and strategic business relationships. The Madison chapter is open to women entrepreneurs and business leaders throughout the greater Madison area.
Pavlova, who describes herself as a neurodivergent immigrant, emphasizes that diversity is an important part of the chapter’s identity and that she wants to “bring together women with different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives.”
“That was one of the biggest things for me,” Pavlova says. “Before I stepped into the managing director role, the groups I attended often had rooms that looked very homogeneous. Then you’d try to invite someone who wasn’t represented, and they’d say, ‘I don’t want to be the token,’ because it was never built with them in mind.
“From the beginning, one of my biggest intentions was making sure we have community leaders who can take these resources back to their communities,” she continues. “I’m here to create resources that people can take home and bring into their own spaces, and to help create more leadership internally within their communities.”
The chapter’s official launch event will take place today at 11 a.m. and will feature Wisconsin entrepreneur Patti Beres, founder and CEO of Be Green Pro, a sustainable lawn care company that serves more than 3,500 clients.
Beres will present “Live Greener, Grow Better, Enjoy More!” and discuss her approach to building a successful business while also creating a meaningful life.
The kickoff will also provide opportunities for entrepreneurs to meet, build business relationships and learn more about the Madison chapter. According to the organization, more than half of the Madison chapter’s founding members have expanded their businesses since joining the group. The chapter has also provided support to 30 entrepreneurs.
“Many women with incredible ideas and talents are afraid to ask for help or enter certain spaces because of the ceilings we have in society and in our cultures,” Pavlova says. “Being around women who have achieved seven-figure success helps challenge those beliefs about money and what’s possible. Our goal is to break through those barriers and help women see themselves in those spaces and recognize what they’re capable of achieving.”
