The Wisconsin Dells Singers and Dance Troupe will be the featured guest performers at tonight’s Concerts on the Square, now in its 38th season.

The troupe features singers, dancers and drummers from Ho-Chunk Nation. “The Planets and Ho-Chunk with Elliott Funmaker and the Wisconsin Dells Singers and Dancers” will perform three pieces with the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra orchestra. Funmaker, the group’s head singer, worked for three years with Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra music director Andrew Sewell on the program, which will bring Ho-Chunk music, artistry and culture to center stage.

Funmaker, an enrolled member of the Ho-Chunk Nation, is the manager and head singer of the Wisconsin Dells Singers & Dancers Troupe. His father, Kenneth Funmaker, formed the troupe in 1976.

Annually, over 200,000 patrons come together for the Concerts on the Square, a six-concert series during summer that runs from June 29-Aug. 3.
