Ho-Chunk Police seek public help in locating missing woman

The Ho-Chunk Nation Police Department is currently investigating a missing person’s report for Tribal Member Felicia J. Wanna (Helgeson), 50, and seeks assitance from anyone who may have seen her, according to a release from Ho-Chunk Nation Police Chief Zachary Quackenbush.

Wanna’s last in-person contact with immediate family was on December 29, 2022. Felicia is about 5’4″ tall with an approximate weight of 190lbs., and brown hair and brown eyes.

The release said Wanna has a history of mental health concerns and is considered to be endangered and possibly in crisis.

During the course of this investigation, information provided indicated that she was possibly in the City of La Crosse on January 3, 2023, Quackenbush said.

The Ho-Chunk Nation Police Department is being assisted by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and the City of La Crosse Police Department, and a statewide attempt to locate for law enforcement has been entered into the NCIC database for Felicia’s safety.
