Hurricane Irma Relief Effort: How You Can Help



Selfless Ambition is a Christian community development non profit organization whose mission is to build capacity and excellence by connecting them to caring faith communities.


Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane will ensure that 100% of all funds donated will be used to provide relief to families displaced by Hurricane Irma.  https://www.bgcdc.org/get-involved/donate/

Requested Items:  Bottled water, Diapers, Toiletries, Flash Lights, Batteries, Garage Bags, snacks like Granola Bars and peanut butter.

United Way of Dane County is assisting Selfless Ambition’s Hurricane Irma Relief Effort by offering volunteeryourtime.org as a resource to assist with the promotion and coordination of volunteer opportunities associated with this effort.  At this time, volunteers are needed to receive, sort, and organize donated items within the storage facility located within the Lighthouse Christian School, located at 6400 Schroeder Road, Madison, WI.  Additional volunteers are needed to ensure that donated items are safely packed into the semi-truck that will be used to transported donations to Brunswick, Georgia.  Upon arrival in Georgia, local volunteers will distribute items to individuals and families impacted by Hurricane Irma.

VOLUNTEER SHIFTS:  Tuesday, September 12th – Friday, September 15th from 8:00 am – 6:00 pm each day.
