Thirteen-year-old Jayme Closs, who has been missing for over three months, has been found and is alive and a suspect has been taken into custody, according to multiple media reports..
Closs was found in Douglas County by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday evening. Further details will be coming on Friday morning during a 10 a.m. press conference, according to Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald.
Closs was first reported missing on October 15, after deputies responded to a 911 call originating from her family home. Deputies found her parents had been shot to death inside the home and Closs was gone.
The search for Closs had gone nationwide and the public was of great assistance to police.
“The department could not have endured this case without the support of the public and i want to thank them for all the support and help,” Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said.
