US Senator Kamala Harris (D-California) is ending her bid for the 2020 Democratic nomination for president, multiple media outlets report.
Mutliple outlets reported that Harris had told her staff in a call on Tuesday that she was suspending the campaign. Earlier in the day, Harris canceled a fundraiser scheduled for Tuesday in New York.
Her presidential bid had been falling in the polls for several weeks, and a New York Times story over the weekend depicted a campaign in disarray.
Harris is reportedly preparing a video to announce her plans publicly.
