“Kill Them All:” Congressman Calls on “Christendom” to Wage War on “Islamic Horror”

A Louisiana Congressman known for inflammatory tough-talk on crime used a Facebook post yesterday to call on “the free world … Christendom” to wage war with “Islamic horror,” imploring Christians to “Hunt them, identify them, and kill them. Kill them all. For the sake of all that is good and righteous. Kill them all.”

Higgins does not reserve his call to violence only for known terrorist, but suspects as well.

“Not a single radicalized Islamic suspect should be granted any measure of quarter. Their intended entry to the American homeland should be summarily denied.

The newly-elected Representative was forced to resign from the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office last year for similar tough talk about gang members and drug dealers. As public information officer, Higgins put out a series of Crime Stoppers videos using insulting and threatening language aimed at fugitives and suspects. Sheriff Bobby Guidroz asked him to reign in the inflammatory language, but Higgins resigned and ran for Congress instead.

Most comments responding to the post took issue with the tone and rhetoric. “Wow, you are no better than a terrorist,” one Facebook user wrote. “This is the equivalent of the sentiments against Jews, in Nazi Germany,” wrote another.

The comment was made on Higgins’ personal Facebook page and accompanied a photo of London police standing over the bodies of suspected terrorists following a knife attack near London Bridge.
