LakeFrontRow is proud to present the Madison-area premiere of “19,The Tony Robinson Shooting: A Case of Deadly Bias,” directed by Tim Poehlmann-Tynan at the Central Library Meeting Rooms 301 and 302 on Wednesday, May 25, 6:30-8:45 p.m.

The film revisits events that led to the officer-involved shooting of Tony Robinson on March 6, 2015. With a forensic approach to dashboard camera recordings, 911 calls and the officers’s own law enforcement record, this documentary pushes back against conflicting narratives of the shooting and the media’s problematizing use of stereotypical binaries.

An uncompromising exorcism of Madison’s relationships with race and violence, the film is also a humanizing document in search of justice, truth and love.

A panel discussion with director Tim Poehlmann-Tynan, Young, Gifted and Black co-founder Brandi Grayson, and Wisconsin State Representative Chris Taylor will follow the film.
