Let’s talk authentic leadership across cultures at the 365 Leadership Summit

Leading across cultures means being asked, again and again, how much of yourself to bring into the room. “Authentic Leadership Across Cultures” will be one of nearly 20 panel discussions at the 365 Leadership Summit on Monday, October 19, at the Center for Black Excellence and Culture. This conversation will bring together leaders from health care, higher education, banking, community-based leadership, and Ho-Chunk storytelling and elder wisdom to talk honestly about code-switching, communication, and building trust across cultural difference, and about where the line sits between adapting to a room and losing yourself in it.

Dr. Damira Grady-Saffold, Madison College Vice President for Student Equity and Institutional Impact, will moderate the discussion.

Panelists include:

  • Shiva Bidar-Sielaff, Vice President and Chief Social Impact Officer, UW Health
  • Che Brattrud, Branch Manager, Park Bank
  • Dr. Catherine Chan, Assistant Vice Provost for High Impact Practices, UW–Madison
  • Araceli Esparza, Founder & Executive Director, Midwest Mujeres
  • Sherman Funmaker, Poet, Essayist, and Speaker; Bear Clan Elder, Ho-Chunk Nation
