Madison365’s 11U girls basketball team won three games by a combined score of 110-23 en route to the championship of their division at the Already August Shootout at JustAGame Fieldhouse in Wisconsin Dells Sunday.
They opened with a 40-5 win over Wisconsin Lady Starz Elite, followed by wins of 27-14 and 43-4 against two teams from the new Madison Eagles club.
The titles comes two weeks after the team finished third at the Summer Finale tournament in Stoughton.
“The difference was we’re playing better together as a team,” said coach Henry Sanders, who is also CEO of 365 Media. “Team chemistry and trust. We’re learning that talent wins games, but teams win championships. That’s something I’ve been talking to our team a lot about … the team learned to trust each other.”
The team returns to the Dells Saturday to conclude the season at the Summer Sizzler Open.
