Seven exciting companies representing a diverse cross-section of industries, missions and locations across Greater Madison will deliver their pitches and compete for the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce’s first-ever Most Innovative Company (MIC) Award tomorrow, Wednesday, Dec. 14, at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art. Live audience voting will determine the winner.
This event is the culmination of a process that began in August during the Forward Festival, where 35 creative, cutting-edge companies competed to be named finalists for the MIC Award. The company at each of seven “innovation hubs” that received the most votes from attendees at neXXpo earned the right to advance to the final competition at nex7.
The MIC finalists are AkitaBox (presented by QBE), Bendyworks (presented by Cresa Madison), Forward Health Group (presented by Global Data Consultants), GigBlender (presented by TASC), oneEvent & Fearing’s (presented by the Chamber), Operation Fresh Start (presented by National Guardian Life) and SOLOMO (presented by Zendesk).
At the event, the Chamber will also present its inaugural Ground Floor Award for small business leadership to Jim Garner, CEO of Sergenian’s Floor Coverings. The award recognizes true champions for small business both within their business and in the community.
