The 8th annual The Big Share event, hosted online by Community Shares of Wisconsin, will take place Tuesday, March 1, and will raise funds for local nonprofits focused on social and environmental justice.

“Now is a key time to support the nonprofits working for equality and systemic change,” said Executive Director Cheri Dubiel in a statement. “The last two years have both demonstrated and exacerbated the need for change. Our member groups work to improve life and create a just place for all. The Big Share gives every donor, large or small, an opportunity to empower these groups and make change happen.”

The Big Share is a fun, easy and flexible way to donate to and learn more about organizations making a difference in our community. The annual campaign is themed “Make Change Happen” and is looking to raise over $500,000 for the 70 nonprofit members dedicated to building an equitable and just community and protecting the environment. The Big Share features a day-long online telethon with local entertainment and updates from Community Shares.

Donors can give to individual organizations or give directly to Community Shares to support all participating groups. For a full list of organizations, click here.
