Another huge announcement from the Wisconsin Leadership Summit!

Attorney, former mayoral aide, and salsa musician Mario Mendoza will moderate our panel on Ethnic Chambers of Commerce, why they’re important and how small businesses can make the most of the services they offer.

Mario is an attorney and shareholder at the Madison office of Murphy Desmond S.C. His law practice encompasses administrative law, civil litigation, employment law, family law, business and real estate law. Mendoza is among the most active attorneys in Wisconsin representing licensed professionals-including physicians, nurses, attorneys and other business and health care professionals-in matters involving initial licensing, licensing complaints, investigations and hearings. Given his considerable expertise, Mendoza has been called upon to give presentations on professional licensing matters to statewide and national audiences. Additionally, Mendoza assists clients with an array of business matters including entity formation, employment law, real estate matters and legal disputes requiring litigation. His work on behalf of individuals includes real estate transactions and divorces. Mario, who is a fluent Spanish speaker and writer, leads Murphy Desmond’s Bilingual Legal Services Practice Group. In 2017, he was recognized by Madison365 as one of the Most Powerful Latinos in Wisconsin.

Previously, Mario served as an Assistant to the Mayor of the City of Madison for eight years. In that role, he had management responsibilities in areas of planning, zoning, economic development and public safety. Mendoza also represented the City of Madison in its intergovernmental relations efforts with the State of Wisconsin and other local governments throughout the state.
