Forward Madison FC has signed defender Turner Humphrey for the 2026 season, pending league and federation approval. Humphrey joins the club after spending the 2025 season with Las Vegas Lights FC.
Humphrey began his collegiate career at the University of California, Davis, where he started 18 of 20 matches in 2021 and was named to the Big West All-Conference All-Freshman Team. He transferred to Oregon State University in 2022, starting 22 of 24 matches for the Beavers and logging 1,923 minutes with one goal and one assist.
After college, Humphrey was selected 44th overall in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft by FC Dallas and played for the club’s reserve side, North Texas SC, in MLS Next Pro. During the 2024 season, he appeared in 26 matches, logging 1,635 minutes, posting an 89.1% passing accuracy, and contributing to seven clean sheets as North Texas SC won the MLS Next Pro Cup.
In 2025, Humphrey joined Las Vegas Lights FC, making four appearances and starting twice while recording an 84.1% passing accuracy and 16 clearances in 199 minutes.
Forward Madison Sporting Director Matt Cairns said Humphrey’s comfort on the ball and physical profile fit the club’s style of play, while head coach Matt Glaeser cited his passing ability and strength in defensive duels. The 6-foot-4 defender is expected to add experience and size to Forward Madison’s back line ahead of the 2026 season.
