Incumbent Mayor Paul Soglin, who declared he would not run for re-election in July before changing his mind in October, will square off against former alder Satya Rhodes-Conway in the April 2 election for Madison Mayor.
With 98 percent of the votes tallied, Soglin had earned 28.8 percent of the vote to Rhodes-Conway’s 27.6. Alder Mo Cheeks earned 23 percent, River Alliance Executive Director Raj Shukla took 18.6 percent. Comedian Nick Hart earned one percent and write-ins, including Toriana Pettaway, got .9 percent.
