
The WIAA boys and girls state track and field championships are set for this weekend in La Crosse. Competition starts at 9:30 a.m. and runs all day on June 6 at the Veterans Memorial Stadium Complex on the campus of UW-La Crosse and resumes on Saturday, June 7 at 9:30 a.m.
Divisions 2 and 3 will compete Friday morning and the Division 1 session begins at 4:30 p.m. Friday. The order of the finals for each event on Saturday begins with Division 3, followed by Divisions 2 and 1.

Arrowhead seeks to defend its boys’ team championships from last year, when it won Division 1 for the fourth year in a row by accumulating 60 points. Onalaska was last year’s runner up.
Lakeside Lutheran won its second straight title for Division 2 with 81 points, 44 points more than second-place Somerset. Iola-Scandinavia was the Division 3 winner with 45 points, and Marquette won the boys’ wheelchair team championship for the second straight year.
Arrowhead also won the Division 1 girls’ title, compiling 67 points. It was the first time in Division 1 for both genders from the same school to win the state title.
Freedom and Rice Lake tied for the Division 2 girls’ trophy, with Deerfield winning the Division 3 championship. Sun Prairie East won the girls’ wheelchair team championship.
