Stanford recruit Fran Belibi sent her home gym — and then all of social media — into a frenzy last night with a steal, end-to-end fast break and one-handed dunk as the Regis Jesuit High School defeated top-ranked Grandview 79-55.

KDVR sports reporter Lindsay Joy posted the clip on Twitter, where it’s been viewed more than 1.25 million times. After the dunk, much of the video shows her fellow students going what they call in the sport business “bonkers.”

The look of it — the smooth footwork, the one-handed ball control, the eyewear — drew comparisons to a certain NBA Hall of Famer.

“She just James Worthy’ed them!” wrote Twitter user Rex Chapman.

The 6′ 1″ senior just started playing basketball as a high school freshman and was a sophomore when she became the first girl to dunk in Colorado history.

Regis Jesuit coach Carl Mattei told the Denver Post that she’s only displayed “about 40 percent” of what she can accomplish on the court. Belibi has said she chose Stanford over literally hundreds of other colleges because both of her parents are doctors and Stanford is one of the top medical schools.

Belibi finished the game, a rematch of last year’s state finals, with 32 points.
