The Urban League of Greater Madison and the African American Council of Churches will be providing free transportation to the polls on Tuesday for anyone who needs it.

Rides will be available from 8 am until 7 pm on Tuesday, April 2. Anyone hoping to schedule a free ride is encouraged to call Urban League at 608-729-1200 or email [email protected].

Tuesday’s election includes the race for Mayor in which Satya Rhodes-Conway is facing incumbent Paul Soglin. Additionally, all 20 seats for the Madison Common Council are up for re-election.

The race for seats on the Madison Metropolitan School District Board of Education has been particularly heated this year as Ali Muldrow is facing Dave Blaska for Seat 4, Cris Carusi faces Kaleem Caire for Seat 3, and TJ Mertz faces Ananda Mirilli for Seat 5.

Also on the ballot will be the race for Wisconsin State Supreme Court. Wisconsin Court of Appeals Chief Judge Lisa Neubauer will face Republican challenger, Judge Brian Hagedorn.
