UW Volleyball ranked second in the nation in preseason AVCA poll
Senior Devyn Robinson was named American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-American last season.

The University of Wisconsin volleyball team is ranked second in the nation, according to a preseason American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Coaches poll released Tuesday afternoon.

Last year, the Badgers were 28-4 overall and won their fourth Big Ten Championship in a row. UW is a preseason pick to finish at the top of the Big Ten conference once again. The Badgers advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament for the fifth straight season in 2022, and is one of only three teams to advance to the Sweet 16 in the last 10 years in a row.

Wisconsin has been ranked in the AVCA national poll for 152 consecutive polls, including the last 55 straight polls in the top 10.

The Badgers open the season on Saturday, 1 p.m., hosting the UIC Flames for an exhibition match at the UW Field House.
