Dr. Tremayne Clardy, superintendent of the Verona Area School District, has been elected to the Governing Board of AASA, The School Superintendents Association, the national professional organization for school system leaders.
Clardy was chosen through a membership-wide vote in April and will begin a three-year term on July 1, 2026. He will serve alongside Dr. Amy Starzecki, superintendent of the School District of Superior, who was elected at the same time.
The AASA Governing Board serves as a national voice for school district leaders and helps guide the work of the organization, which advocates for public education at the federal level and supports superintendents through professional development and policy work.
Clardy and Starzecki will succeed Dr. Bryan Davis of the Oshkosh Area School District and Dr. Tonya Olson of the Lake Mills Area School District on the board. Wisconsin’s other current AASA representatives are Paul Schley of the Cornell School District and Jeff Nelson of the Grafton School District.
The election was announced by the Wisconsin Association of School District Administrators (WASDA). More information is available at wasda.org.
