The Wisconsin Leadership Summit, taking place October 18 and 19 at Ho-Chunk Gaming and Convention Center in Wisconsin Dells, will gather the state’s most influential leaders of color for two days to focus on a wide range of important issues affecting the state’s communities of color as well as the wide workforce and economy.
It will also take the opportunity to celebrate the arts of a variety of Wisconsin’s cultures with a Community Arts Showcase during the dinner session on Thursday, October 18.
The Mexican dance troupe DanzTrad, the Hmong dance group Viv Ncous, and the Wisconsin Dells Singers from the Ho-Chunk Nation will all display their talents and cultural traditions. More performers may be added.
“One of the goals of this summit is to celebrate the greatness and richness of all of Wisconsin’s communities of color, and there’s no better way to do that than to showcase the arts from our many cultures,” said Henry Sanders, Madison365 publisher and CEO. “We’ll be doing a lot of work at the summit and the Community Arts Showcase will be the perfect opportunity to enjoy some really great performances from a diverse group of artists.”
Registration is now open. Full conference registration is $200, which includes more than a dozen panel discussions to choose from, social and networking opportunities, all means (including a buffet lunch of traditional Ho-Chunk cuisine), and community arts showcase.
