The Alzheimer’s Poetry Project will present a Poetry Party with Fabu Carter on Monday, Oct. 16, 10-11:30 a.m. at Central Library, 201 W Mifflin Street.

Former Madison Poet Laureate Fabu Carter and New York poet Gary Glazner, founder and executive director of the APP, will read classic, well-loved poems and poems written by those living with dementia. A highlight of the event will be the creation of an original poem by the poets and the audience. This event is for people living with memory loss, their caregivers and the general public.

Free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

The Poetry Party is funded in part by the Helen Bader Foundation and the Poetry Foundation. The Alzheimer’s Poetry Project is proud to have the Center for Community Stewardship as our fiscal sponsor.
