Trump Care, or the ACHA, is coming. And unless steps are taken, the Senate will pass their bill – a destructive, inhumane bill, that will rip away health care from millions of Americans and raise the cost of millions more. All to make room for a tax cut for their oligarch friends.

The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said yesterday that 22 million Americans would lose insurance over the next decade under the health care bill drafted by U.S. Senate Republicans.

If my family didn’t have health care, my father would have long been dead and near the end he’d have been bedridden in pain with nothing he can do to manage. We would have been broke and lost all the hard work my parents did to make sure my sister and I had more opportunities than they did.

Republicans have only a 52-seat majority in the 100-seat Senate. Republican leaders want to hold a vote on the bill before the July 4 recess that starts at the end of this week. The Senate could be careening toward the first vote on its health care repeal legislation as early as this afternoon.

So what can you do about it? Here’s a short list.
1) Call all the Senators
2) Specifically, call Republican Senators

Go here: IndivisibleGuide.com They have a list of who to call and instructions of how to follow up. Everything ready made. Only three Republican Senators need to vote no and letting them know you oppose is the best way to do it. If you wanted to resist, now is your chance to do it.

One last tip: If you have a personal story about how health care or the lack of, has impacted your life, tell it. Put together a short 2-3 minute story about how health care or the absence of it impacted your life. Emotional connections are key in shifting votes. If you don’t have one, don’t sweat it, still call.
