Madison police said a woman is dead following a shooting on the city’s north side early Friday morning.
Police said the incident occurred early Friday morning near Troy Drive and Karstens Drive.
Police said they responded to several reports of gunfire in the 3700 block of Karstens just before 1:45 a.m.
Officers found one man with a gunshot wound near Troy Drive and another woman about a block away. The woman was found shot in the head in the parking lot. She was taken to the hospital, but eventually died from her injuries.
This is Madison’s 9th homicide of the year.
Police are looking for two people in connection with the shootings.
Police said this case is not connected to any other cases.
