Celebración Latina at the Milwaukee Public Museum

Saturday, Oct. 10, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. | 800 W. Wells St., Milwaukee

The museum’s Hispanic Heritage Month event includes Afro-Latin and Caribbean dance performances by Combining Cultures Dance Co. at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., followed by free salsa lessons. A first-floor artisan market features local vendors selling crafts, Mexican ceramics and homemade salsas. The event is included with general admission.

Chicago Latino Dance Festival at Humboldt Park

Sunday, Oct. 11, 3 to 5 p.m. | 1440 N. Humboldt Blvd., Chicago | Free

Eight performing groups present Afro-Latin, Indigenous, folkloric and contemporary dance traditions. The performance is part of the festival’s citywide run, which features 20 groups at multiple venues through Oct. 19.
