Wisconsin football has hired Western Michigan’s Jordan Reid as its new wide receivers coach. Badgers head coach Luke Fickell announced the addition of Reid who will join the UW staff after leading the Western Michigan receiving corps from 2023-24.
“We’re excited to add another young and talented coach to our staff,” Fickell said in a statement. “Coach Reid will fit right in with our mentality of being humble and hungry and he’s definitely a guy who is always eager to learn and grow. He’s proven the ability to build strong relationships and will fit right into what we’re building as a program.”
Last season at Western Michigan, Reid helped three Bronco wideouts catch 30+ passes, led by Kenneth Womack who tallied a team-high 39 catches for 545 yards. Womack totaled 115 catches for 1,236 yards and two scores across two seasons under Reid’s guidance.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Coach Fickell’s staff at Wisconsin,” said Reid. “I’m honored to be a Badger, and I can’t wait to work with the high-character student-athletes and coaches that make Wisconsin special.”
Before his stint at WMU, Reid worked as an intern with the Carolina Panthers and the Minnesota Vikings. He also served as an offensive quality control coach and an offensive analyst for two seasons at Wake Forest. In 2019, he served as a graduate assistant at Ohio University, his alma mater.
