The Boys and Girls Club of Dane County will be hosting a Harmony through Hoops 3×3 Basketball Summer Jam & Back 2 School Bash this Saturday, Aug. 27, at Olbrich Park on Madison’s east side.

Boys and Girls Club kids, as well as other youth throughout Dane County, will receive their Back 2 School backpacks as they prepare for the coming academic year. Each year, with the help of generous donors, supporters, and community partners, the Boys & Girls Club of Dane County helps hundreds of local youth prepare for school by giving out backpacks filled with much-needed supplies.

“We are excited about Saturday and we are thankful to Dee BizNatch from WJJO Radio who spent 28 straight hours on the radio raising funds and supplies for this effort,” Michael Johnson, CEO of Boys and Girls Club, tells Madison365. “We have over 1,000 backpacks and tons of school supplies. We want to be a blessing to kids in the community before school starts. We’re hoping that a lot of people come because we want all of these backpacks to be gone!”
