Following an ugly 104-98 win over the Denver Nuggets Monday, the Milwaukee Bucks leapt to the top of the Yahoo Sports power rankings.

“The Bucks are balling,” writes NBA analyst Tommy Beer. In placing the Bucks in the top sport, Beer cites the Bucks’ average margin of victory is almost 11 points, and they’re the only team in the top five in both offensive and defensive efficiency. Their 115.3 points per 100 possessions lead the league.

At 12-4 the Bucks are in second place in the Eastern Conference, a half game behind the Toronto Raptors, who are second in the power rankings. Golden State, Portland and Oklahoma City round out the top five.
