Catina McAlister
Catina McAlister has been named the new manager at the Badger Rock Neighborhood Center.
“With more than 20 years of experience in administrative leadership, nonprofit organizations, and community-focused work, Catina is passionate about helping people and supporting meaningful causes,” Badger Rock Neighborhood Center said on social media Thursday. “Known for her strong work ethic, organizational skills, and ability to build positive relationships while leading teams and projects, she also enjoys volunteering and sharing her love of baking with family, friends, and neighbors. Catina believes in serving others with kindness, dedication, and a genuine commitment to making a difference.”
Badger Rock Neighborhood Center provides seasonal, summer youth, and special activities programming, often with local partners and at low or no cost to participants. The non-profit’s goal with all of its programming is to strengthen community ties and civic engagement while also nurturing resilience within each individual.
McAlister is a 2011 graduate of the UW Odyssey Project who also attended the WARF Upstart program, where she learned the skills needed to launch a business. McAlister’s business, MacMade Delights, is one of the ways she became connected to Rooted at Badger Rock: she sold her delicious cookies and baked goods at the Badger Rock Market. McAlister was also a Badger Rock community gardener for several years.

The Badger Rock Neighborhood Center hosts community events, workshops, a free monthly dinner and seasonal market, and provides a space for the community to gather for meetings or programs.
