Dane County confirms 66 new coronavirus cases and 4,149 reported recovered

Dane County confirmed 66 new coronavirus cases this morning, bringing the County’s total to 4,844. As of this morning, the total number of recovered was listed as 4,149.

Dane County’s death toll from COVID-19 remained at 39 this morning while today’s total hospitalizations grew to 312. Currently, there are 25 people hospitalized for coronavirus while 8 of those are in the ICU.

Today’s highest concentration of cases are among adults in their 20s and in their 30s, with both age groups growing by double digits today. Adults in their 20s grew by 19 while those in their 30s grew by 18. Adults in their 40s also grew by double digits with 10 more cases, with teens aged 10-19 growing by 8. Those in their 50s grew by six while adults in their 80s grew by three and adults in their 60s grew by two. The most updated data on positive test percentage for a day is for August 15, with the positive test percentage reported as 1.74 percent while August 14 is now at 2.1 percent. The positive percentage for August 13 has been updated to 1.83 percent and August 12 at 1.5 percent. Madison365 expects that these numbers will be adjusted as more negative and positive tests are fully processed and attributed to the appropriate dates in the coming days.
