Elite Eight Set for This Weekend

The 2018 NCAA tournament has been one of the most memorable of this generation. Well, unless you tried playing a bracket, in which case, sorry, it hasn’t gone very well.

After a week of historic upsets, shockingly early blue-blood departures and memorable last moment shots, the Elite 8 is set for this weekend.

In a major heavyweight clash, the Duke Blue Devils will take on the Kansas Jayhawks at 4pm on Sunday. Duke defeated Syracuse 69-65 in the Sweet 16 after being able to withstand the Orangemen’s vaunted zone defense. Expected NBA lottery pick Marvin Bagley III led Duke with 22 points and 12 rebounds to set up a matchup with Kansas in the next round.

Texas Tech will face Villanova on Sunday as well. Nova is the only number 1 seed remaining in the tournament.

Loyola Chicago continues its Cinderella run today at 5 pm taking on surprising Kansas State. Michigan, the lone Big Ten team remaining faces Florida State tonight at 7:50pm.
