Rayshard Brooks

Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard announced this afternoon that warrants have been issued in the fatal shooting of Rayshard Brooks. Garrett Rolfe, the Atlanta police officer who shot and killed Brooks outside a Wendy’s restaurant in Atlanta, has been charged on 11 counts including felony murder.

The decision on charges for Rolfe, who fired the fatal shots, and officer Devin Brosnan, who was also on scene, comes just five days after Brooks was killed. Bronson also faces three charges, including aggravated assault, Howard said.
A bystander posted a video on social media which has been shared widely that showed the struggle between Brooks and officers. The video appeared to show Brooks running away when the police opened fire.
Arrest warrants have been issued for Rolfe and Bronson and they were asked to surrender by Thursday.
