Michael Ford, The Hip-Hop Architect

The Goodman Library New Teen Space Design Challenge will take place Thursday, Feb. 1, 4-7 p.m. at Goodman Branch Library, 2222 S. Park St.

The Goodman Branch of Madison Public Library is renovating its teen space and wants to give area youth the first opportunity to design an ideal space for them to enjoy inside the library. This is an opportunity for Madison’s high school students to not only voice what they want, but to get hands on with the design team and create their visions. Participants will have a chance to compete for some fun prizes including gift cards and headphones during the event.

The sessions are being led by Michael Ford, the creator of The Hip Hop Architecture Camp and will feature fun, hands-on workshops to help youth create a space of their own to Madison Public Library and the architects and contractors renovating the space. The architects are Engberg Anderson.
