For the tenth straight year, JP Hair Designs on Madison’s West Side will offer free haircuts to boys and young men as they prepare to return to school.
The shop will be open for all students from kindergarten through high school from noon until 5:00 pm on Sunday, August 21.
To keep things orderly, JP asks that people arrive on the hour.
“Come at 12, come at 1, come at 2, come at 3 or 4,” he says. “We will be finishing at 5.”
Because a large crowd is expected, the free haircuts will be high-quality basic cuts — no designs.
All nine barbers at the shop at 584 Grand Canyon Drive donate their time for the annual event.
