District 8 incumbent alder Julianna Bennett has retained a seat on the Common Council with a convincing win over challenger Colin Barushok in the new District 2, representing portions of downtown.
With 80 percent of the vote counted, Bennett held a commanding lead of 72.8 percent to Barushok’s 25.8.
