The Madison365 12U girls basketball team stayed on a roll this weekend, handily winning their pool at the JustAGame Spring Break Shootout in Wisconsin Dells, outscoring three opponents by a total of 152-32.
The team opened with a 52-12 win over Lake Mills. Maliyah Thompson led the way with 11 points and snagged eight rebounds, while Alyse Winzer and Talia Sanders added eight points each.
In the second game is was 38-7 over the Red Devils. Molly Murphy led all scorers with 10 and Sanders added nine.
The nightcap featured a 62-13 win over LaFarge, in which Murphy again led the way with 16 and Winzer contributed 12. Winzer also contributed defensively with 12 steals.
Ari Eddins led the team with 20 rebounds over the three games.
“This tournament was the first time we almost had our entire team playing together. This weekend was a glimpse of the potential of the team,” said head coach Henry Sanders. “We still have a lot to improve. But we are moving in the right direction.”
