The Winston-Salem man accused of racial profiling for demanding that a black woman at his community pool show him her ID to prove she was entitled to be there has been fired from his job.

A video of the confrontation between Adam Bloom and Jasmine Edwards, a young mother, has gone viral on the Internet the past few days. Bloom not only questioned whether Edwards was allowed to be at the pool in Winston-Salem, he also called police.

As of today, Bloom no longer works for Sonoco, the packaging and industrial products company. On Twitter, the incident was trending with the hashtag #idadam. In the video, the woman referred to the man as Adam. Hundreds of people had tweeted about it, with some tweets tagging the man’s alleged employer.
