Church members (l-r) Clara Allen, Kamora Allen, and Sherreallyum Allen at the S.S. Morris Christmas Bazaar

The people of S.S. Morris Community A.M.E. Church will come together to share their talents, gifts, and crafts at the S.S. Morris Church’s Annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 14, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 15, 1-4 p.m.

There will be crafts, traditional desserts, jewelry and other unique gift ideas at Christmas Bazaar. Guests may also purchase their lunch and enjoy it in the festive dining room.

For those looking for a unique gift idea, the S.S. Morris Christmas Bazaar will also feature a variety of mood rings. These rings change color according to the wearer’s body temperature, and each color has a different meaning. Guests can learn about the mood ring color meanings and select a ring that best represents their loved one’s personality.

In addition to mood rings, there will be many other unique and handmade gift options available at the bazaar. Shopping at events like this not only supports local artisans and craftspeople but also helps to make the holiday season even more special with one-of-a-kind gifts that cannot be found in stores.

S.S. Morris Community AME Church, located on Milwaukee St. on Madison’s east side, was founded in 1987. About a decade later, the church started Bethlehem’s Marketplace Bazaar as a unique fundraiser that would annually transform the basement of the church into the town square of Bethlehem around the time of Jesus’s birth.

S.S. Morris is also currently accepting vendors who would like to participate in the Bazaar. Contact us at 249-4555.
