The Wisconsin Center for the Advancement of Postsecondary Education (WISCAPE) and Global Engagement Office, UW-Madison School of Education will host “Supporting Refugee Students in Higher Education” on Friday, March 29, noon-1:30 p.m. at the UW-Madison School of Education, 1000 Bascom Mall.

Join WISCAPE for an informative session centered on supporting refugee students in higher education.

Our conversation will include an overview of statistics and the living realities of refugees in Wisconsin, with a focus on debunking myths surrounding the refugee population. The panelists will discuss challenges that refugee newcomers encounter in the American school system; barriers to accessing college; and practices for supporting refugee students in higher education.

This event is co-sponsored by the Center for Research on College-Workforce Transitions and the Global Engagement Office in the UW-Madison School of Education.
