For the past 11 years, Isthmus has brought Wisconsin Fest to Madison to highlight the range and depth of music and musicians in Wisconsin, and this year’s fests span over eight unique genres, five nights, and three venues starting tonight and concluding on Jan. 27.

Tonight’s celebration of blues music featuring Koch Marshall Trio, Ivy Ford, and Dan Walkner Band will be at Majestic Theatre in downtown Madison with doors to open at 6 p.m. and the show to begin at 7 p.m. Along with a celebration of blues, tonight will also have the punk date of the Fest at High Noon Saloon off E. Washington St. with doors opening at 7 p.m. and a show at 8 p.m.

Tomorrow night, Jan. 6, will kick off at the Majestic again with Wisconsin Funk Fest featuring Rare Element, Better Yeto, and Heatbox with 6 p.m. doors and a 7 p.m. show, starting shortly before the Wisconsin Metal Fest celebration at High Noon Saloon with doors at 7 p.m. and a show at 8 p.m.

The next date of the Fest takes place on Friday, Jan. 12, for the jazz portion featuring Ben Ferris Octet, Rick Flowers Amalgam X, Jon Hoel Trio, and Feestet at Majestic with doors and the show at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively. The Saturday after, Jan. 13, will see both the pop and bluegrass portions both opening with 6 p.m. doors and starting at 7 p.m. with the Pop Fest at Majestic Theatre and Bluegrass Fest at The Sylvee off N. Livingston St.

The final day of Wisconsin Fest will be on Saturday, Jan. 27 and will be the Hip Hop Fest portion featuring DJ Fusion of 93.1 Jamz, DJ Iron Mike, L.U.V., Blazo, Rob DZ, Juicee Monroe, Tha Catalyst, and Flame the Ruler. Wisconsin Hip Hop Fest will also be hosted by Gary Knowledge.

All shows will be $15 general admission except for the Bluegrass Fest which will be $25. Tickets and more information can be found at the FPC Live website page here.
