The Madison Network of Black Professionals will host a panel of Chief Diversity Officers this evening to engage the community on the emerging field of diversity and inclusion.

“The goal is for the community to understand the role that each of the directors have in their organization and what type of resources they have,” said network president, Dawn Crim.

Attendees will also learn how to access those serving similar roles in their own workplaces and community spaces and strategize on how to best utilize the resources they provide.

“This is an opportunity to have a conversation with Chief Diversity Officers in a variety of industries,” said Crim.

Confirmed panelists include Patrick Sims of University of Wisconsin-Madison, Madison alder Shiva Bidar of UW Health and Lisa Peyton-Caire of Summit Credit Union. The panel will be moderated by Crim.

The event will take place at Edgewood College in Anderson Auditorium from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with refreshments served by Melly Mel’s catering.
