Amplify Madison funds collaborative professional development projects to build skill, voice, and visibility for all people that identify as women, including trans women and in particular women of color working in the Madison region’s thriving local community organizations. YWCA Madison has announced that they are accepting applications for Cohort 3 of Amplify Madison.

“We are very excited to once again host such a great opportunity to empower all women and in particular women of color in the Madison area,” said YWCA Madison CEO Vanessa McDowell in a statement. “Our entire community will be enriched when we make it possible to build stronger relationships and have more diverse voices sharing knowledge.”

This year, Amplify Madison will continue to fund opportunities for teams of women to travel for professional development around the United States and abroad, to then integrate their learning and wisdom from highly diverse frameworks and contexts to their work and the broader Madison community. Previously awarded Amplify Madison teams, according to a press release from YWCA Madison, had transformative learning experiences in Guadalajara, Los Angeles, Rwanda, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Vietnam.

All people that identify as women, including trans women and in particular women of color, interested in applying are welcome to apply. Application process this year will be carried out on a rolling basis, however, early submission is highly recommended since the first cut for selection will be on March 22, 2020. Call for Applications will be open until May 1st, or earlier if funds are exhausted. For more information, click here.
