President Joe Biden

Joe Biden has defeated President Donald Trump in Wisconsin, the Associated Press called on Wednesday afternoon. Trump won the Badger State in 2016 by fewer than 23,000 votes.

Biden secures Wisconsin’s 10 electoral votes with the narrow 20,000-vote margin victory and reclaims a key part of the blue wall that slipped away from Democrats four years ago. Approximately 3.2 million total votes were cast in Wisconsin for Biden and Trump.

President Donald Trump’s campaign has requested a recount in Wisconsin and also says it has filed a lawsuit trying to halt the vote count in battleground Michigan.

Biden’s victory brings his Electoral College total to 237.
